82-83 EZGO Gas Pedal Microswitch -?
Hi All - my ride is about an 82 or 83 and just quit out of the blue. Found that one of the wires coming off of the key switch was dangling in mid-air. This wire is the one that is only hot when the key is in the "on" position.
Finally found another wire that was also hanging and traced it back to one of the small terminals on the solenoid. I used a butt connector and joined the two. Now the cart does run once the key is turned on. But the starter motor runs constantly (even with my foot off of the gas pedal) until the key is turned back off. My half-educated guess is that I've bypassed the gas pedal micro switch. But I can't seem to find it. Is there a diagram or picture that will help me to find the switch and hopefully re-connect the wires? Thanks to all for any help... |

It's below the key switch. Follow your throttle cable to it.

Re: 82-83 EZGO Gas Pedal Microswitch -?
Yes you bypassed your limit switich. Probably the end came off the switch and that is from the key switch to the limit switch Under a small box below the rear of key switch inside under the seat by the throttle cable as stated by the other poster.
