Ground Wire
1990 Marathon.
Currently the Radio & front lights are grounded to a bolt under the dash. I’m in the process of replacing some of the old poorly done wiring. Question - Should the ground be run back to the battery? Any potential issues leaving it the way it is. Thanks Scott |

Re: Ground Wire
I also have the radio grounded to the body of the cart. The only weird thing is that the radio will turn off and back on when I press the gas to get going. I assume that since this is an old battery that the generator is stealing all of the amperage until it gets moving.

Re: Ground Wire
Thanks for the feedback, I ended up running everything back to the battery.
The whole dash is apart anyway. No sense taking any chances on radio interference. |

Re: Ground Wire
Grounding to the frame would have been more than adequate if you clean the surfaces properly. It never hurts to run the wires to the battery (As long as they are properly routed, pass through holes have grommets and wires are suspended properly).
