Can typically be taken out & super cleaned with carb clean & reused.

Right, people put too much oil in and it will blow oil onto the air filter, is what I should have said. It might if the engine is really tired and run at high rpm a lot, etc., but normally should not. Sure I would run it a while and see. Normally they don't burn any oil by the time you change it. You may have to clean the cooling fins if oil is leaking out the rocker cover.
