Default Yamaha G16 Running issues

I have a 1998 Yamaha G16 that will run when in neutral, however when I put it in gear if I push the pedal to the floor it just turns over. However if I just barely push the pedal in it will go a little bit. Last, if I pull the choke it runs fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When I was look at 10 fleet trade ins they had one that would run but wouldn't move forward or in rev. I think the engin didn't have the rpm to make the belt grip or it had a bad belt.it was the only cart that ran on its own without a batt. Pack running it.

Any help on this? If the pedal is pushed to the floor it won't go, it just turns over. If I barely push it in it will go a little bit and the stop. However if I pull the choke it will run fine.

I would start by taking carb out and cleaning it good.

sounds like carb... Does it run fine after you warm it up? Mine takes a minute or so with the choke pulled out then after that she is good for the day....

No this thing stay that way. If I want to run it for the weekend with the choke pulled will it hurt the motor?

I had and old snow blower ran on half choke all the time. I would check oil to make sure there's no gas in it. I never pulled a carb off a g16 but it looks not as hard to do as much as my g29 was to do.
