Default G2 still having problems.

I'm still having some issues with my cart. I've nailed down most of the obvious problems like intake, fuel, valve adjustment. It starts right up but runs terrible. Sometimes it acts like the timing is to far advanced it locks up and bucks and then go's ahead and starts any ideas would be greatly appreciated. The only other thing I've done is put about a cup of sea foam into a full tank of fresh premium gas.

The timing is is done in the CDI -- it automatically advances the timing according to rpm.

Change the air filter
Change the plug
Change the oil
Pull the fuel bowl off the carb and rinse the insides of the bowl and under side of the carb - float and main jet

I've done all that except change oil will do that this week end. The strange thing is I can monkey around with the settings and get it to run pretty good even drive it up and down my road then the next day it's back to running like crap again it's about to make me pull what hair I have left out. I'm thinking about maybe a who new carb.

Is there a post on how to replace the clutch weights?

I would look closely at the whole fuel system.I had a lot of issues with my G14 with similar symptoms. It finally turned out to be very fine trash in the bottom of the fuel tank.Ended up taking the fuel tank out and really giving it a real scouring. After that the cart ran well.

if you are thinking of attacking the fuel system on your G2 as stated above, do not buy a new factory-style fuel filter. it is screwed into the bottom of the tank, terrible idea if you ask me. i have had so many leaks on the replacement ones, i decided to go another route. remove the tank first (pretty much required to do fuel filter work on G2 anyway), unscrew the stock filter, cut all the filter media off, reinstall filter housing. then add a fuel filter in the line outside the tank. doing it this way makes filter replacement so much easier in the future, plus its easier to inspect the new filter for crud with just a glance.

Here's a new twist. I replace the carb with a used oem. No changes. I tried a different fuel source no change. Readjust valves. Nothing. But while I was puttering around I took a screw driver and tapped on the ignitor and it started running better not perfect but a noticeable difference I was able to slow down the idle so as to adjust the air to get a better idle that is slow enough not to engage the clutch. It eve started with out bucking and acting like it was out of time. Now my question is what is in the ignitor is it solid state or are there moveing parts like relays or points or such?
