Default Charging/Charger Problems

Cart:
97 G19 48V All Stock
Batteries:
6) 8V Powertron P8000 Date 10/14
Charger:
Yamaha 48V Mod.# SCR481717

Lady's husband died late last year. Cart sat since in run with no charging.
Tested batteries, they were all but dead. Charger wouldn't come on. Charged each battery to get enough voltage for cart charger to start charging.
Charger ran till it timed out, red light(incomplete charge) was on.
Checked pack voltage it was good, plugged charger back in, that evening it had yellow light, I thought all was well , in the morning it had timed out and had red light. Reconnected charger for 3rd time with same results.
Tested each battery, after no charge and sitting for 3 days., all were about 8.5,(8.45 to 8.51) pack voltage 50.9.
When I plug charger into cart the lights flash 3 times and then they sequence
once and flash 2 times and it goes into charge mode.

Why is it timing out and showing incomplete charge when the pack is at full power.
Thanks,Muddog

Incomplete charge, or abnormal cycle? The power on & incomplete charge light being on is normal during charge, juat means "im charging, but not done yet". The trouble indicator is the "abnormal cycle" light at the bottom of the column of LEDs

It's been thru 3 charging cycles and when it times out and shuts off ,it has red light incomplete charge. After 3 cycles I thought it would show green light charge complete after shutdown.

there are only three situations where a Mac charger should have only one LED illuminated. 1- Green complete when finished, 2- bottom Led "Abnormal charge" if the charge cycle took longer than 16 hours, 3- "incomplete charge" when the charger is plugged into cart, but no Ac power is hooked up. Are we actually talking about the "second from.the top" led? Any other operation resulting in one led lit on a Mac charger is abnormal, or possibly a aftermarket charger board.

Second from bottom yellow light(charger on) and third from bottom red light (incomplete charge) lit when charger shuts down after time out.

That is incorrect charger operation.

Run the cart a little bit, put a couple of miles on it and then re charge.

I have the same charger. My charger will say incomplete while charging then go to 80 percent light then go green light when complete.
