Default 2005 Yamaha G22 dead - not cranking

my 2005 yamaha g22 is dead and won't start. the reverse buzzer DOES go off when it's put in reverse. brand new starter brushes were just installed. i hooked up jumper cables to the battery and it started. drove it about a mile and parked it for a little while. loaded it on the trailer and brought it to the course, started up fine and drove it around the parking lot for a bit then put it away. next day went to use it and it was back to being dead.

Does reverse buzzer change its tone when you step on the gas peddle?

Take the black cover off just behind the battery, so you have access to the solenoid. Put test meter probes on the 2 small solenoid terminals. Any power when pedal is pressed?

i don't remember if there was power when i tested the solenoid. the ohms read right about 6 when it wasn't pressed i believe. i can hear/feel it clicking when i push the gas. The battery at rest was only reading about 6-8v max and when i pressed the gas pedal it would drop to about 2-3v.

That's a dead battery and possibly junk
