Default 1999 Gas Club Car cut off switch

I want to install a cut off switch under the seat. I was wondering if anyone has installed one and what wire they put it on. I was thinking the orange wire coming off limit switch 2 in wiring diagram. Or should I use the red wire coming from the fuse box up to the key switch?

Doesn't really matter which one it goes on. either will prevent movement of the cart.
You just need it somewhere that's not visible but you can still flip without much trouble.

I put a couple on some carts here just so I can make them immobile for temporary punishment should the drivers of them do something against the rules.

Just to add, if you're talking about the limit switch on the FnR lever with the orange wire, that is only for the Reverse buzzer. It will do you no good for immobilizing the cart. You can put a switch on the rear limit switch on the FnR lever on the Green wire to prevent solenoid engagement.

Or you an use the orange wire on the micro-switch inside the box for the same thing.
A switch on the red wire from fuse block to key will keep power from getting to the key switch.

A switch from the rev limiter wiring to ground will also accomplish this

it would make the most sense to run it to the key switch right? that way even if they have a key they cant take the cart, or if they try to cross the key switch wires with parts of a beer can (seen it done) they cant get the cart.... maybe im over thinking

I used to put my cart in "Maintenance Mode" on busy weekends at the campground,
It's rare that kids/people would even consider that, much less... know about it!

If you really want to get creative, you can buy any car alarm with a starter kill output. Any time the alarm is "armed" it can act as your "switch". So you can hide the alarm brain anywhere you want, and just push a button on a key fob any time you want to flip a switch. You can find alarms on ebay for under 20 bucks. You don't have to hook up the siren if you don't want to hear it.

Bonus, most have auxiliary channels that you could use to control lights and stuff with the key fob if you want a little extra "bling"

AND extra bonus, if the kids get out of hand, or you want to mess with the wife, you can press the arm button on the fob as they're driving and watch the confused look on their face as it shuts down in the middle of the yard

something like this? This one seems pretty compilated with a light, a fuse, and a button but I guess it covers your bases.......

This one is advertised as waterproof. It's $13 so I wouldn't go testing that lol but if it's up in the cowl or something away from direct water it's got a better chance of holding up to humidity and stuff.

Thank you all for replying. I went with fairtax4me. I used the green wire to cut off solenoid.
