Default 2020 ezgo L6 efi vs steep hills

Hello,
so I have a new L6 gas cart that is painfully slow when going up hills even if its just 2 riders.
The cart is completely stock so I have not adjusted the throttle cable yet.
My question is will adjusting the cable help it climb these steep hills?
if I adjust the cable and its not enough increase, what would be my next step?
currently at stock the cart runs about 15-16 mph.
thanks for the help

Adjusting the cable will help with top speed but not certain it will help with hill climbing. Need to consider other factors too like tire size. I have my cart going 30mph on flat ground but have 25" tires and when I go up steep grades I am down to walking speed or less. I upgraded my clutches with GBoost stuff (HD springs, HD belt, and new clutch buttons) which help, otherwise i'd likely stall going up hills. In your situation depending on tire size the clutch work will help but for real power an engine swap is about all you can do. My cart is a 2013 TXT and the motor still runs so I have a hard time replacing it and there are no kits to replace the Kawasaki engine so no easy way to upgrade so I live with it for now. Might get frisky this winter and just find a way to make a 670 work.

good information, I had heard a clutch might be the way to go.
I will soon adjust the throttle cable and proceed from there.
Thanks for your help!

I recommend that you adjust a little at a time until you get backfire from the carb, then take some back out until backfire is gone. If you go too far gas gets in before the ignition hits which causes the backfire. It took me a couple tries but feel like I am as far as I can safely go now.
