New 4 Gauge Wires
So I got my new 4 gauge wires for 99 ez-go txt and I noticed the inside diameter of the hole on the terminals is 1/16th larger than the holes on the previous 6 gauge wires .Am I setting myself up for a loose connection later even if I check them periodically or is this ok ?

Re: New 4 Gauge Wires
So they got a 3/8 hole? Battery Stud is 5/16ths. this 1/16th extra should not be a problem. Use a lock washer on each one of them.

Re: New 4 Gauge Wires
Hey probably a dumb question but have you ever heard of anyone using self locking nuts on th terminals or do you think the nylon in them would cause a problem ? I am sure someone has probably tried this and there is probably a reason they don't come that way from the factory but thought I would ask .

Re: New 4 Gauge Wires
I would use STAINLESS LOCK WASHERS.
