2 smoker carb.....think its had it!

is there ever a time to say enough is enough and buy a new one.cleaned it, swapped parts, adjusted it, babied it . and it still lets me down, it'll flood, it'll not flow any mix at all (choke the thing out to get it to run)...what am i doing wrong.could it be the oil im using? (just your run of the mill 2 stroke oil). could it be ive got the linkage in the wrong holes (3 in the carb and 3 on the gov.arm) im using to 2 outer most holes on the arms. i dunno ....ive about had it with this thing . maybe my kid killed the motor again. ill check the comp. again tomorrow and check back... shag

if you have a 3pg, this is how the linkage should look. we had to get a new one after tinkering like you did to no avail.

Ahhh, no wonder its real jumpy when it starts up. it pretty much runs wide open all the time... thanks for the pic.
