Default Grinding sound in right front wheel area

This one is a bit of a mistery for me. My 2003 Yamaha cart has been up on a jack stand for 4 weeks. Yesterday I took it down and ran it a bit to test the new motor that I put in.
It apears that a grinding noise is coming from the right front wheel area (the only work that I did was to the motor area). I took it to the shop and watched as the mechanic searched, tested and searched, He even changed the right from wheel to see if it was the problem, no luck or even any ideas so I am hoping you guys have some good ideas.

A couple more clues: the noise is much louder after I've run it for a couple of more hours and when I do a fiarly sharp left trun as into my driveway.

Could this be bearings, Or?? I apperciate your help. Thanks, Jerry

Sorry, I forgot a couple of things. When you jack the front end up and turn the wheel, all seems fine. It only occures at a rate about equal to the speed of the turning wheel. And, if I didn't mention it it occures more loudly when the cart has been a run a couple of miles, so it is hot. Thanks.

maybe the cotter pin on the spindle nut is draging or scratching on the metal dust cover? or brakes..did ya try to move the wheel top to bottom and side to side when it was on the jack..may just need grease, but the louder it gets the worse the bearings are getting if thats the problem

Most likely the aluminum hub (were the bearings seat) is worn. You'll only hear the noise with a load and movement, that's why you can't hear it up on jack stands. Does it sound worse when your turning? Like a clicking noise?

You are Exactly right. Here's my best summary of the problem:The grinding/slapping noise seems to coincide with the speed of the turning wheels.
The noise is louder and more prominent after the cart has been run a couple of continuous miles.
It is also more prominent when doing a left sharp turn as in a turn into the driveway.
There is no noise when the cart is jacked up and the wheel is turned by hand.
There does not appear to be a lot of play in the wheel when I’ve tried to push it back and forth.

So, in summary it seems that the following things matter most:
• heat from use
• weight
• shift of weight/force when turning of the wheels to the le
