Marathon Belt Squeal
I have an 84 EZGO Marathon. I put a new belt on it and now it squeals when I take off and when I am coming to a stop. I put the old belt back on and there is no squeal, but the cart lurches on take off at times, like perhaps the belt is slipping and then grabs suddenly. I returned the belt that squeals and got a different one, but that one squeals too. I assume it isn't the fault of the belt. Any ideas or suggestions?

Re: Marathon Belt Squeal
Are you positive it's the correct length belt?

Re: Marathon Belt Squeal
I put a new starter/generator belt on it at the same time as the other belt. Why would it not squeak when I put the old drive belt back on? I will try another one to see if it helps.
