Default Smaller fuel tank???

I don't need such a large fuel tank and one has a crack on top.
Anyhow, I've put fuel in a 64 ounce bottle and put my pickup tube inside of it and it works. So has anyone takin out there Oem fuel tank and put one in the original place as the Oem? Maybe a 1gallon tank? I don't drive it enough to keep the larger tank. 1gallon will last a while.

When i first got my Marathon,i used the early Marathon small tank that mounts behind the seat, above the motor. Its about 2-gallons vs 5.It worked good for what i was doing with the cart.If you are creative, you could build a tank from a plastic gas can, then remove it,fill up,and snap it back in.Or permanent mount it.

That's what I was thinking as they are only $10.
Anyone else have another idea?
If not I may just go this route.

I would use a 3 gallon gas tank that would be removable. Maybe even a 2.5g tank. Having a removable tank is also a security feature lol.

I may just buy a 1 gallon fuel can and buy a new pick up tube.
Well see when I get more time
