Default 84 marathon

I need help. I don't know if this is the clutch or what it is. It's attached to the the rear end. It had been vibrating for a couple of weeks and then just flew apart and broke the spark plug. Can y'all please help me to know what it is.
Thanks Chas

That's the secondary clutch helix cover. You can remove the 3 screws and take the cover off to see what kind of carnage has occured. Likely that the snap ring popped off. How did it take out the spark plug though?

I'm really not sure but as soon as it fell apart it died and I looked at it and the spark plug wire was just hanging and the spark plug was broke so I'm just guessing when it broke it took the spark plug with it.
