Default Fuel Pump Hose Routing

I just purchased a 92 Carry All II. The cart was purchased new by Disney World and has their serial number next to the cart serial number.

The man I purchased it from bought it from them to use in his nursery but because of all the mud he couldn't get much use from it.

I notice a fuel odor and see some gas oozing from the screen in the center of the pump. This makes me wonder if the fuel lines are hooked up correctly.

As they are: From fuel tank in at top of pump. Middle vacuum from motor. Bottom out to carb. There are 2 fuel filters as well.

Thanks for help on this.

Fuel Pump.JPG

Should be as follows -

90* elbow (far right in picture) has line from fuel tank

Middle / Bottom is the pulse line from block

Left side is line to carburetor

Other than the inlet from the tank being at a 90 degee angle, that is how this pump is currently plumbed.

But what about gas oozing from the screen in the center of the pump. Is this normal? Other than the cart being very cold natured. Once warmed up it runs fine.

No... it's not normal!
fuel oozing from the screen indicates a leaking diagram,
and the fuel pump should either be rebuilt, or replaced!

Thank you for confirming my suspicions on that leaking/oozing fuel pump. As soon as i get back from my 7 day Caribbean Cruise which begins 2/21, I will work on this. 😊
