Default new belt didn't help with slipping

I have a 1993 carryall with a fe290 , that the belt was slipping on hills. I bought a new belt (OEM#: 1016203,)and the belt squeals and smells like rubber burning at top speed . It looks like a top speed the belt doesn't line up and it eating the sides of belt.

Is this a cart you just bought? Or is it a cart that ran fine for you for a long time and now just started doing this?

Do you have a photo or a video to post? I'm assuming that you're running it in maintenance mode (running motor in neutral) in order to see the belt positioning at full throttle.

When the belt appears misaligned, does it lean closer at the motor or closer at the axle? Also, when you run the motor, does the belt rise up in the drive clutch (the one on the motor) and sink down into the driven clutch (the one on the axle)?

EDIT... just saw that it's not your pic...
Check to see if the driven (rear) clutch is opening when reving up!

Yep this is what I'd guess to be happening at this point. Driven clutch seized or otherwise not opening.

Slip the belt off and try to somewhat carefully break it loose, or spray WD-40 or PB Blaster on it to try and help get it moving again is what I would probably do. If it still won't work you should be able to remove the center bolt and slide it off the input shaft (it's just a keyway shaft, and no special tools are needed to remove it). Then you can either tear into it to see of it can be fixed or else get a new one.
