Default 88 ezgo

I have a 88 EZGO gas and when it sits for over a week the cylinder will fill up full of gas I have to pull the plug and turn it over and it shoots gas everywhere is it the float because I just put a new carburetor on it or is the fuel pump?

There are only two paths for the fuel to follow to the crankcase.

One is through the lower diaphragm of the fuel pump.
The other is through the carburetor.

It's a 50/50 shot, but you replaced the carb. Did the trouble start before, or after that?

Personally, I would start with the pump.
It's very easy to confirm a ripped diaphragm. If that's not the problem, it's then very easy to move on with confidence.

There are pictures here of what you would be looking for. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-e...fuel-pump.html

I think the problem started before that's why I replaced the carburetor

You need to change your oil, because there should be gas in the oil. If the cylinder had gas in it

No oil in an 88. It's a 2 stroke.
