Default Removing/installing a new body

I read the thread on TXT body removal, which should be the same for my ST350 2+2, but figured I’d ask to make sure no one has any other little tips or tricks for the process?

Picked up an aftermarket replacement body for it, so hopefully this process goes relatively smoothly. Got the Titan body for it.

Edit: anyone have an idea of what the original body would be worth? Its got some dings and scratches but nothing too terrible.

Body removal is pretty straight forward. Only thing I do is on the cowl I remove all the rivets except for the center one and do it last so I can hold the cowl while I drill it out. Keeps the cowl from falling off when the last one comes loose. When putting the new one on a small Phillips will help align the new cowl and make all the holes line up before you start putting rivets in.

Shopezgo.com offers a body rivet kit which is recommended. There is a wide variety of size and type rivets used. Best advice is get the $30 harbor freight pneumatic rivet gun.

Agree 100% on both counts. Cheaper and easier to buy the rivet kit as opposed to local sourcing all the various sizes that are used. That HF rivet gun makes easy work of those rivets. Particularly the big 1/4" ones at the bottom are a real workout with a manual riveter.
