Ez Go throttle response ?

Hello,
I bought a 1999 gas ezgo lifted 6 inches with big tires. I am having problems with the acceleration. When I hit the gas pedal it is always 100% and does not ease to maintain speed. It’s all or nothing and very irritating to drive. Any ideas what it might be? Thank you

Check the idle screw on the carb some people crank them down thinking they are ar adjusting the governor and will give you all or nothing
