Valor TXT 13.5 Kawi Which Oil Filter?
Does anyone know what oil filter I can use to replace my oil filter on my 2018 valor with the 13.5 horse kawi engine when I do my first oil change?
In reading the maintenance manual it looks like you can either blow it out with air or replace it with a new one. Just to be safe I'd prefer the replacement path but I'm not sure what filters I can use. Thanks! -Chris |

Kawasaki will have a spin on. Get the real deal. People have used generic ones with bad results. 49065-7010 Or 49065-2078. I get mine from a lawn mower shop.

Blow out with air? Never heard or saw that before.
49065-7010 was stock on my 2015. |

Robin engine before the Kawasaki had a wire mesh filter that if not damaged could be cleaned out and replaced.

With this information it seems like maybe you should be sure you have the correct manual for your cart. |

And again, buy the correct filter. You can get one from an auto parts store but it is made for a car and the bypass pressure is too high and can cook a smaller engine. Buy the real deal.

An ACDelco PF1233 works well. That is what I have been using on by 2017 Valor.

Re: Valor TXT 13.5 Kawi Which Oil Filter?
Again. That filter is made for a car with much higher oil pressure. Oil filters have a bypass valve in them such that at higher rpm some oil is allowed to bypass the filter so the engine can get the required oil. A Kawasaki filter bypasses at like 10 lbs. A car filter is like 25 lbs. I you use the higher pressure filter your engine may not get enough oil at higher rpm. Use at your own risk.
