Default 2008 ezgo 352c

Bought a 08 sport not running.. I cleaned the carb but it's still running rich.. new spark plugs adjusted valves to .004 and new fuel pump.. it sputters bad under load.. Could it be a weak ignitor? Old plugs were solid black before I cleaned the carb.. it's so rich it turns the grass black..

Is it an OEM carb or aftermarket? What kind of compression does the motor have?

Has oem carb.. haven't checked compression but it starts easy.. usually without having to choke it..

Double check the needle/seat in the carb. if it's not seating properly it could be flooding the engine.

Also maybe check the timing belt and make sure it hasn't skipped a tooth.

And compression. They will run with low compression, but have zero power. They'll even run on 1 cylinder, just not very well.

Pull the plugs and make sure you have a nice fat blue spark. If spark is weak you may have a bad coil.

That's where I would start, before spending any money on parts.

Ok I put a new coil and a different carb on it.. checked compression it's 165 and 170 dry.. still running rich.. could plugged exhaust be a possibility? I tapped on the muffler and got it to rev up and blow a big puff of black smoke twice.. and the engine seems like it's hot after running it just a few minutes..
