Default No turning over

I have a 2002 EzGo shuttle...i don't know what motor. I press the pedal and nothing happens. I've tried a little research and suspect the solenoid but don't know how to test it.

I read one thread about checking F2 for voltage. I have battery voltage at F2 when pedal is pressed.

I read about Checking the small ground on solenoid for "click" by jumping to ground. I don't have that click.

The 7.5 fuse looks ok and tests ok by multimeter.

The gas gauge doesn't move when pedal is depressed...nothing happens when pedal is pressed, no clicking, nothing. Used to be the gas gauge would register but not now.

If I jump the terminals of the solenoid the motor spins.

I would have thought a bad solenoid would not let me jump it and would click.

Pointers please.

Thanks,
Nathan

Did you check the micro-switch under the peddle? should have power in when the keys on and power out when peddle is pushed.

Nevermind.

After inspecting the underside for a 6th time I found a 1 inch long stick. But when I move this stick it revealed it had sliced clean through two wires and a wire protector.

Reattached and problem solved.

So, you had it right that power wasn't getting it when the pedal was pressed.
