Default (eng & perf) new member ezgo gas txt shuttle 2+2 2001

Hi everyone.

Great forum, thanks thus far I’ve had a good read.

Things I’m please interested in.

1) Overhauling the above EZGO GAS engine (TXT Shuttle 2+2 2001)
Either myself or a very experienced shop

2) Improving torque and better understanding of fine tuning speed delivery via
Limiter.

3) General Mods for the cart.

4) Best place to get spares

I have downloaded Manuals found here for 2002 cart similar but different

Has anyone got advanced manuals? Esp Engine spec and overhaul tips
Please would any offer advice or point me to links.

I may also be interested in buying an already modified engine for this cart.
Do any of you have any links on such.

Many thanks

Great many thanks for the links, I’ll have a look.

BTW Here is a video showing the running issues I have.

I have checked a number of things with no positive.
Eg I have swapped out (tested) with diff Carb and spark plugs.

At low speed it seems fine, with near normal torque .
But it still won’t accelerate.

VIDEO CAN BE FOUND HERE. (Can only add link on day 7.) sorry

one is longer than other.

Advice is please needed.
Many thanks

What happened to further development on this one this thread. It was interesting.

Have any of you got further more detail to add.

Disregarding the IGN REV LMT issue, what about the speed Gov connected from drive shaft gearbox to the accelerator. Would that not limit speed regardless. How do you then overcome this issue?

In any case could this increased HP assist in increasing torque for hills.
Ie maintaing close to 30MPH uphill. And carry higher payload.

I don't have the skills and tools to do this mod.
Can anyone recommend a reliable workshop that can assist.,

What about Hydroxy booster. Anyone played with this to increase power?

Drive clutch problem, motor sounds good.... it's not a small block Chevy.

20 foot shuttle 30 mph up hills? maybe with a supercharger and some nitrous.
