Cheap igniter lesson
I bought an 1998 EZGO TXT gas project a few weeks ago(first cart)( worked on cars for years)Got it to turn over without much issue. Had no spark... ordered the typical $20 igniter from eBay..
still no spark.. Several hours of testing and reading and the cheapo igniter is DOA. Ordered one from a reputable cart supplier in Florida and had spark as soon as I put it in.. Let this be another lesson learned from cheap Non OEM parts.. If you have an ignition issue replace with OEM quality parts... it will save you time and money in the long run.. |

Agreed. I used the Chinese carbs until I finally learned. My experience has been that they have roughly 30% failure rate out of the box and a 50% failure rate after one year of use.
