Tyre size question
maybe not the right forum.. my excuses for that.
My marathon has stock size wheels 18-8.5 by 8 is the Diameter exact 18 Inch? I want to lower the wheels so I need 16-8 by 8 is this diameter 16 inch? Here in Europe we have different sizes and in Mm so I don't know exactly what I need? Thanks and greetings, Erik. |

That is the diameter dimension but the actual height is usually closer to 17 or even 16 1/2 depending on inflation pressure
You’ll likely lose some top end speed with a smaller tire... everybody else is always trying to go bigger... why smaller? |

yep, the 18 and 16 is inches in diameter but some tire (tyre ) brands vary a little.
