89 Marathon fuel problem
I have an 89 Marathon that is not getting fuel to the cylinder. I cleaned the carb, replaced the plug but have no idea what else it can be. Reading up a little it looks like possibly the crank seal? would that stop fuel from getting to the cylinder? Also i poured fuel directly in the cylinder but it wouldn't even try to fire (I have spark). Any help is appreciated.

Re: 89 Marathon fuel problem
Id check the compression first and go from there. Yes, the crank seals can affect fuel flow, but so can many other things. You can take the hose off of the carb that comes from the fuel pump to see if you are getting fuel to the carb after you check compression. You are looking for 90 psi or better on compression.
