Default New Plowmans Team Clutch

I have installed a new Primary Team clutch from Plowmans. Before install my cart experienced a shutter/bang at take off, mainly when cold. This is still happening after new clutch. This morning, the starter ran but motor would not fire, clutches were not turning. I tapped on the primary mounting bolt and everything started working again.

I know a few of you had ideas about my shuttering. Any new ideas?

Why would the starter run, but no motor? Fuel/Spark/Electrical?

Thanks.

Anyone who's been following my other posts, have anything new to suggest about the hard banging from startup?

When you talked with Don, did he have any input on this?

I did, he thinks the throttle cables are out of whack. He said right now they are a "light switch" on or off, no in-between. He actually gave me instructions over the phone on how to properly adjust. Unfortunately I'm not around the cart so hopefully my chicken scratch will help out later on.

This would have been fantastic basic information for you to lay out in the beginning. Almost feels deceptive....

Follow Don's instructions

Sorry, I didn't mean for it to be that way. I actually called Don yesterday so I could respond to Dave's post. After I try adjusting the cables ill post back.

Alright, can someone let me know if I’m at least in the ballpark?

I’ve adjusted the cable under accelerator pedal to add more slack. When pedal is pushed I can hear the click and motor start at the exact same time. If cart is in gear, it will jump and then idle until I mash the gas pedal. Cart has never idled before. I have 1.5” from top of pedal until the cart starts up. At 2” the cart will take off.
