Wheel spacers G1
So I’m eventually going to lift and get bigger tires however I wanted to see if prior to doing that I could install some wheel spacers on the stock tires to get a wider base.
Haven’t found anything so I figured I’d post. Was looking at the 2” wheel spacers. Like I said eventually this winter I’m going to lift it and get bigger wheels but I thought I’d see if I could just widen the wheel base for now. |

Re: Wheel spacers G1
I think the spacers would work just fine on a stock G1.

Re: Wheel spacers G1
Are you looking at aftermarket spacers or having a shop CNC some aluminum?

I don't mind spending more for quality, but I'm not spending $800 extra to find out. |

Re: Wheel spacers G1
Its because they hope when the cheap ones go out of stock someone will buy the expensive ones not knowing the usual price. Spacers can put more wear on the spindle and axles/bearings. Especially if you run offroad and hammer it some. It depends on what you are doing most lifts the offset wheel is enough, you can run stock wheels with spacers but why do that they are ugly. For the cost you may as well have cool wheels and larger than 8 inch. Some run offset wheels and spacers especially higher lifts. Some get a wide LT lift and only run spacers on the rear so it matches up better.
