Where to start... carb problem

I have a 2013 adventurer 2 I believe it’s the same as the g29. The problem I have is under heavy acceleration it bogs down. If I depress the gas pedal slowly it accelerate correctly. It doesn’t matter if it’s warmed up or not. Also it idles nice.

Compression test shows 160 psi
I think the previous owner replaced the carb with unknown type
I cleaned the carb out thoroughly.

A bogging problem like you describe is usually a carb issue. The aftermarket carb would be suspect #1. They usually aren't very good and it's common to have issues with them. I recommend replacing with a factory Yamaha carb.

If you want to tinker, try replacing the main jet on that carb with a stock main jet (if it fits). It could be someone replaced the carb and installed a larger main jet and now it's bogging down with too much fuel.

You could also try running without the air filter lid and see if that makes any difference at all. If it gets better that would tell you that you have too much fuel at WOT. I do not recommend running without the air filter lid for any length of time, as this lets dirt into the engine and can ruin it

When you're driving it and you feel it bogging, is there any black smoke from the muffler? Look inside the tailpipe for black soot. Pull the spark plug and see if it has black soot. All are an indication of a rich condition.

So I looked at the plug it had the wrong plug in it and it was covered in carbon. I replaced it with a factory ngk. It runs a little better but still bogs down on hard acceleration. Slow excel it runs great. Also it does not smoke at all. Where can I get a carb for this thing ?
