Problems with starting and keep running 2000 Yamaha G16A
Hey guys, lots of good information here on the forum, but let me see if I can distill my particular problem. I have a 2000 G16A gas cart. We use it mostly for a pit vehicle for our racing operation. Because of covid, racing operation has set up for over a year including cart. Pulled the cart out the other day to use and it wouldnt start, I did all the usual stuff, battery charge, plug cleaning, fix burnt fuse, flushed out old gas and put in new. Cart still wont get going, barely moves. Check throttle cables etc everything looks good. After looking closer, I put the rear end up on a jack and poured a little fuel directly in carb inlet. Engine runs, rpms come up until fuel is spent in the carb. Checked fuel line and dont see any fuel in inline fuel filter. So I am surmising a fuel issue? Pump? Any thoughts

First clue... it sat for a year.
Second clue... engine runs when you manually administer fuel. You usually do not see the fuel filter filled with fuel, so that is normal. |
