Default G22 Primary Clutch stuck in high gear

Hi, it looks like the primary clutch on my G22 golf cart is stuck in high gear. The clutch won't slide back out. I assume one of the rollers is worn out and the weight popped up above it which isn't allowing the clutch to slide back out. Does anyone know if you can change the rollers with the clutch still on there or do I have to remove the whole clutch to replace those rollers?

You have to remove the clutch to disassemble it. It would be a bear to try and do it while on the engine. I'm not sure that its even possible.

Thanks, I figured it would need to come off but I wanted to see if anyone had some tricks to do it without so I didn't have to wait around for a clutch puller to come in the mail after I order it.

You have to order new rollers, just order the puller also. I like "Gboost" steel rollers. Remove the battery, the clutch cap bolts, use an impact to remove the clutch bolt, then the puller to remove the clutch assembly. Put the clutch in a BIG vise, heat the the treads on the spider to fixed sheave (they are locktighted), then you can use a pipe wrench or simular to unscrew counterclockwise. Remove spider, replace rollers, reinstall with locktite. Shoot one pump of grease, then wipe out any extra grease that came out the weep hole seal. Reinstall and you will be good to go
