That is probably your problem, running 57 volts thru 48 v Solenoid. Solenoid clearly says 48volts

I have changed this, so I have 48v going to each one of the solenoids. When I receive the new one, I will replace and test. I asked a local golf cart guy about this issue of 48v verses a 64v system he said it was wired correctly and that I may need to change my 2-year-old batteries. I really appreciate the help. I will document this for future use.

I don't see why weak batteries would burn up your solenoid....Have you noticed batteries not lasting as long?

Weak batteries that are near 64 volts would still burn up a 48 volt solenoid.. If I understand it correctly your cart is 64 volts but has a 48 volt activation circuit.. 64 through the main contacts will be fine.. I doubt you need batteries

I think I worded it wrong....I agree with kgsc, it's the 64 or 57 volts going thru the solenoid that is burning them up (I believe). I don't understand why the guy would suggest that you need to replace the batteries for this issue. He just wanting to sell you new batteries?

I think what he means is that it's okay for 64 volts to go through the large posts on the solenoid, but it's not okay for 57 or 64 volts to go through the coil of a 48 volt solenoid. So with 57 volts going through the coil, eventually it's going to burn up the coil itself or melt the wire going from the small stud to the coil. I bet if he opens up one of his bad solenoids, he will find the main contacts okay but the wire will be broken going from the small stud to the coil. If so, re-soldering the wire to the stud would give him a good backup.

So....what was the answer on this? Let us know if this fixed the problem (or what's happening with it).

I do have issues with the ignition switch sometimes it does not activate the cart you turn it a few off/ons it may work or switch to 4WD and it will start working if the solenoid is good.

Thank you,
It would also be nice to know about the highlighted issue above since that problem has come up here recently from another Stealth owner.

The ignition works great now everything seems to work when it is wired correctly. I was waiting on a part to come in before I ran it much.

I am not looking for a strut housing if you know where to find one. Don't order anything from Stealth4x4.com, I learned the hard way.

Thanks for all of your help on the wiring issues.
