Question Yamaha G1 Body

I am about to purchase a Yamaha G1 Golf Cart. The body, seats, roof, etc are in pretty bad shape. I want to put a new body on it but I don't know what will fit. I am new to all of this. It's old but I want it to look good and new if at all possible. Any ideas?

Welcome to BGW!

Some guys have installed G16 bodies on G1's. Hopefully they will chime in here.

Are the Yamaha bodies readily available? Seems I always see Ezgo bodies for sale?

I have found the bodies to be either hard to find or out of price range.

I thought about it but it would be pretty hard to do and probably add a lot of weight to the cart. I really just want a plastic body that will look good and fit on it without any problems. Btw nice cart "TheNewGuy"!

You are the only one that can make the choice. Original G1 body parts are no longer available from Yamaha or aftermaket , as far as I know. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

I was thinking more like a G16 body kit. How well will that fit and how much will I have to modify it?

More then you think. Front cowel. build the frame work and bolt it up. The rear "clamb shell" more work. Don't stop your plan, just try. Please show pic's...they make another's build easier.
