Default Oil pump adjustment?

Does the oil pump on a G1 have an adjustment to limit or increase oil flow to the carburetor? Thanks for any help. Jrtoter

Oil volume is regulated by a pressure-sensing pod on top of the pump with a rubber hose going to the muffler. Low pressure= low engine load/RPM= lower oil output. High pressure=high engine load/RPM= higher oil output. According to the Yamaha manual,gas/oil ratio will vary between 150:1 and 300:1. There is no external mechanical adjustment to change the oil output.

Thanks for the quick reply GMB74. So I take from what you say, there is no mechanical adjustment on the oil pump.

Hey cliff, you realize this post is 11 years old, right? Back from the dead. Just razzing you. Your posts seem to be on point, are you a mechanic?
