Re: Club Car Battery Wiring Problem
Sorry about the crappy quality. Had to take them with the phone. From what everyone is describing it does sound like the obc. The wire that comes in from the negative battery terminal is the same size as the wire that goes out the other side. That wire has two ends (see pic 3) that go somewhere. That "somewhere" is what I do not know. Thanks again for everyone's help

Re: Club Car Battery Wiring Problem
OK lets digress, have you ever posted the battery readings ?
Take each battery voltage reading and then across the entire pack. I am a little alarmed that the batteries are so dirty , CLEAN them UP To remove standing acid use warm water and baking soda. then get a Picture of the pack , hold flash light in one hand and camera in other. IF THIS IS THE CABLE WHICH IS SUPPOSED TO GO TH THE OBC IT IS WRONG. My guess is this may be a add on to pick up voltage for lights ...etc. |

Re: Club Car Battery Wiring Problem
I have a similar issue I think. My cart is a 94 club car ds 36 volt with coil system. I got the cart from my father in law who said a broken brush bolt on the motor was stopping it from running. I got the cart and took it all apart to do some painting. Before putting the body back on the frame I installed 6 new napa 6 volt batteries and had the motor rebuilt at plumquick motors. I've wired according to a diagram off of the internet but still not running. I was wondering if you have some troubleshooting tips and where to check for power at what points (solenoid, F&R switch, microswitches, charger plug, wiper assembly, etc.)? Any help would be appreciated, thanks, Lakeman

Re: Club Car Battery Wiring Problem
lakeman does the cart do anything?any kind of noise......filman i think .........that wire looks like it might be the 10 gage black wire that bolts to the rear of the charge receptical and the other end to the controller......do you have a 10 gage black wire running from the rear of the receptical? if not that might be it.......................................

Re: Club Car Battery Wiring Problem
My cart's not doing anything? Was wondering about the wire fuse in the charge receptical circuit, my meter doesn't show continuity? Can move the wire around and the continuity kinda comes and goes (might be my cheap meter?) Pretty much got all wires back where I think they go except for 1 small yellow wire off of the solenoid? Not sure if it was ever used? When and where should I have power on the different switches? I see two microswitches, one on R&F switch and one inside the wiper switch assembly?

i had this problem the other day... ended up being oxidation on the contacts inside the key housing. contacts should bright & shiny, mine were very dark brown, almost black. cleaned with a brass wire wheel on the dremel. now works as it should. good luck! -sj |

Re: Club Car Battery Wiring Problem
This looks like a voltage reducer to me. The ground should go through something looks like this on the drivers side behind the batteries right under the body itself.
