Finished Project
Here is a copy of my finsihed 2002 Workhorse. It was a complete basket case when I got it. I rebuilt the 350 engine and did all of the body work and fab on the diamond plate.

Re: Finished Project
No, I just rebuilt the 350 head. I do not want to go over the top performance wise with this in that I have two boys and if they want to go fast they can hop on their four wheelers! This project I want to keep running and in one piece!

Re: Finished Project
Nice job. I like the diamond plate on your cargo box. I am making a cargo box for my 1985 g1 yamaha. Hope to finish it today. I think I will also do the diamond plate. Hope you don't mind. LOL

Re: Finished Project
looks good!! What was the thickness of your diamond plate? What did you use to cut and bend it?

Re: Finished Project
Guys, I guess you are right, I will never be done, but for now I am happy with the project as it looks good considering how bad it was and it runs really good. I cut the diamond plate with my 10" table saw with a blade that I bought for non-ferrous metals at home depot. The blade ran me about $60 dollars. The downside is the amount of "chips" as they get all over the place so you have to keep up on the clean up end or your work area becomes consumed! I then used a simple stationary belt sander to clean up the corners of the diamond plate. I have since added stock "workhorse" decals in the original location but I don't have a picture yet. I also added small 1 inch by 6 inch pieces of diamond plate that I fabbed for the front grill and it looks real good. I will take some more pictures and post them when I can. .060 was the thickness of the diamond plate.
