Heh Heh ... Just a funny "Before and After"
I have felt like an idiot for awhile over not having taken any "Before" pics of my cart, but I found out a buddy had snapped one on his phone the day we dragged the carcass home ... Here's a little incentive for those who don't know if that old cart is worth rebuilding
And here's a little closer to the final project - this winter is going to see a full frame-up "do over", but here's where it sits right now: It started out as the best $60 I ever spent, took me about 2 weeks to add a zero to that number and she's crept up a little here and there since, but I'm still FAR under a grand and she runs and drives great! |

Nice. So are you guys still running 2 strokes in those carts? If there was a big block option for those older Marathons, it would really open things up a lot.
Heres my 4 stroke, before: And after: |

THEYED LOOK GOOD ON THERE PAINTED FLAT BLACK Very well spotted sir. In my excitement to finish the project I took the "final" pictures a hour too early. The rails are indeed painted flat black and are now installed. |

Here's my $50 jewel. Don't look anything like this now. Any cart can be salvaged and either refurbished or rebuilt or redesigned into something usefull.

I paid $100 for my 88. All I had to do is put a battery in it and clean the gas tank. Runs like a swiss watch.
