No. Errr atleast not yet. I was going to replace it but I thought it didn't need one.

I'm not sayin the carb's bad, i'm just thinkin you might swap one from a running cart and see what happens. Seems like one of the few things left you havent checked. The only other thing that I can think of that hasn't been covered that cannot be tested is the igniter. It's solid state and can't be checked. Sometimes the igniter will do some funny stuff.

You can kinda rule the igniter out with a good inductive pickup timing light. On that same subject I don't think you saw my question about the spark color. You need a blue/white color spark. If it is more yellow, you have a weak spark and it may not be hot enough to light the fuel.

It has a pretty blue spark. I will try the timing light trick too.

Also I do not have another carb to test with.

It definitely sounds like a fuel problem. Do you have vacuum to the fuel pump? If so, have you tried replacing or rebuilding it?

Hmm? Never thought about testing the pump itself. I guess I will swipe a pump from something else and try that.

dno if this has been said but you can pull the hose that goes from the pump to the carb and see if the pump throws fuel through to make sure your getting fuel. If you narrow it down to the carb and its flooding bend the float down a bit so when the needles pushed all the way in the floats just a hair more than straight across. Thats how mine's set and it runs good. if it snot getting enough fuel bend the float the other way.

Got both a new carb and coil. Will install tomorrow. I hope and fuel pump works great!
