MCOR problems
I have just completed a conversion from V-Glide to MCOR on my 2000DS Series cart. The pot. appears to be behaving like a 0 - 5K and not 5 - 0K in as much as the motor is slow when the pedal is pressed to the floor and speeds up as its released until the micro switch disconnects. I was not able to purchase the conversion kit so I had to make up my own harness and I have checked the wiring with the wiring diagram and did continuity tests on each wire to make sure. Using the connecting clip on the MCOR as the base of a triangle and looking at the pins, Yellow is left bottom, Purple is right bottom and Black/White is the apex. What is a bit strange is that my V-Glide wiring has the yellow and Black/White in opposite positions but Purple in the same position. To match that I switched the Green and Yellow connectors at the Controller but the result was the same.I guess the problem is Purple and I should switch it with Yellow but then the wiring diagrams (or my eyes) are really out of kilter.

Re: MCOR problems
Sounds like you have a 0-5k controller. The pot wires put out the same ohms no matter if you switch them lead for lead....just for grins, can you check the output of your old V-glide....

The V-Glide also worked fine with the original Curtis controller. Am I correct in saying that the pot resistance is relative to the input positive and the output positive. At rest the sweeper is next to the negative giving no volts and max. ohms and as the sweeper moves towards the positive input the ohms drops and voltage increases. If mine is doing the opposite can I not switch the negative and positive input to give the result I need. If this is the case then it would appear that the pot has been wired incorrectly. And I thought life was simple |

Re: MCOR problems
Problem solved. Checked the connections of a cart at the club and they do not correspond to the Club Car Manual. Manual shows (as per their diagram) in a clockwise direction from the top Black
Yellow Purple In real life it is Yellow Purple Black Other than the positives being on differant pins the polarity was switched. Cart now works like it should |
