Charger Won't Shut OFf
I recently changed all the batteries and cableing in my 2000.5 club car, now the charger stays on pegged at 15amps. Reset to OBC and still having issue. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Re: Charger Won't Shut OFf
Welcome to BGW
Your new batteries only have 70% charge when you install them, so they are going to take a long time to charge. how long does it stay peged at 15 amps ?? how long did you let them charge?? where did you get the cables that was installed, and what size cables are they?? |

Charged for 16-18 hrs. They smelled very hot so i unplugged. Double checked the wiring and all appears correct.

Thats a long time something is not right, and it was on 15 amps the whole time??
Do you have a DVM, to do some test on the batteries, and do you know how to use it? what kind of batteries? |

Re: Charger Won't Shut OFf
Check voltage at the pack and at the dc receptacle to make sure batteries are connected right. I have had new batteries run the charger 20 hours but never at 15 amps the whole time.... sounds like you may have a battery problem if the wiring is good?
What symptoms did the cart exhibit before you changed the batteries? |

Re: Charger Won't Shut OFf
I understand that there is a timer in the OBC. Is this correct? Is there a way t ocheck the OBC to insure its operating corretly?
