Default Considering old Caroche as utility cart...

Looking at 70 something Caroche for around $350. Wanting to use it as a light duty utility cart to haul trash from my restaurant to the dumpster which is located a block or so away. The concern is the elevation change & wonder how well those little electric carts will do up hills? Load will be carried down hill, so brakes are one concern. Driver & 2 empty plastic trash cans will really be the only load on the way back. Let's assume everything is up to snuff mechanically , electrically, etc. The cart is all complete with roof, full canopy, doors, windshield, etc. I will definitely clean up & put our store logos on the doors & all the TLC she would deserve...

Experience? Opinions?

Thanks! Erik

These carts are basically obsolete. It was originally made 40 yrs ago? The speed control technology is on the same level as a 1950 toaster oven... they are wasteful of their power supply .... you mention brakes? Brakes are hydraulic and parts have not been available for years now...

I suggest that unless you have an interest in an antique golf cart you find something newer.... in my opinion.

if your goona be hauling anything and driving up and down an incline do yourself a favor and get a controller cart........nothing wrong with the old cart if you just want it to drive once in awhile but if its going to be part of your workforce don,t do it.................................

what about swapping the the rear end with something newer motor and controllers? The only reason im interested in making it work is the body style looks pretty cool. That and i already spent time and money painting it. ?
