Default Orange light on 04 club car iq

I've been told that this light is like a trouble code on a car. If so whats is this darn thing triing to tell me. It comes on and blinks when I plugged charger in. Since I dont know much about this struff I started with the basics.

48v battery pack voltage reading showed 10% charge.
Ok jumped charger got battries up to 70% in about 5 hours. then plugged charger up un jumped it came onthis time stayed on about an hour no lite blinking. when it cutoff charge plug felt hot and dang lite blinking again. unplug charger lite quits blinking. oh yea if you drive cart lite comes on solid while throotle is mashed and goes off when you let off throttle.

starting to think this thing is going to whip me

This is what the manual says the blinking means. It might point you in the right direction.

the warning light must be triing to tell me there is no dc voltage coming from charger. When i bypass relay it works. does this mean relay is gone or is there something else that would cause this. I've narrowed it down to the charger cause I used another with no problems

Would start there, not real bad price, could be rectifiers but would start there.

Replaced relay and that took care of my problem. Thanks to everyone, this forum is the best thing I've found on the net.
