Re: Terminal Stress Mark
You should e-mail Trojan. I sent them an e-mail once about a technical issue and an engineer replied back the next day. Perhaps the level of service I recieved, keeps me favoring Trojan.
Here is the contact info: James M. Cobb Technical Support Engineer Trojan Battery Company jcobb@trojanbattery.com 678-518-7319 Let us know what they say. |

Re: Terminal Stress Mark
That picture you included of my battery was taken when that battery was 2 months old. No aging yet I'm afraid... and 3 are still doing well... one failed after a year, give or take.

Re: Terminal Stress Mark
I used your pic to show the area I was referring too on my batteries as I did not have my camera handy

Re: Terminal Stress Mark
Trojan said this is normal and more then likely due to age and nearing the end of their life. This is the same thing Scotty said and I never doubted him but I e-mailed them back to find out what happens inside the battery to cause this. All four stress marks are at the exact same spot. The flat round lead area must be the part that enters the battery and this receives the upward stress.
