Default The new FI 2012 going faster

The injected Yamaha will arrive tomorrow and I know from the test drive it needs to go faster. Anyone worked on this?

Just turning up the govenor will probably get you from 10-12 mph to 16-17 mph. I highly recommend www.cartpartsplus.com (site sponsor) "speed spring", after install, I've had em go 25+mph Tom, you need to start sending me dividend checks

The spring is on order! The cart really has power and will go up hills the G16 cant but tops out at 13 mph. Guess this is just a place to start. Thanks

Just adjusting my EFI governor gave me 25 MPH no problems. I have the 2012.5 YDRAKPT Model with Model Code JC0.

My Yamaha dealer swapped out the stock front clutch for a newer TEAM version 116929. He said it is would be smoother on startup (no jerks) and more dependable long term - but maybe more noise due to balls (roller?) in tracks weights vs conventional weights on arms.

I will start a thread to see what people know about this.

In regard to my last post, I should have mentioned that I purchased my cart with the High Performance Gear that boosts the top speed to 20 MPH+.

At Carts and Clubs in south Ocala. They had few hundred dollars better price (mostly due to more for 2001 Club electric trade-in) and better quality accessories, e.g. enclosure and dealer electrical work. Service looks to be good for either dealer.
