Default Yamaha Drive wont start-help needed

My 2007 gas Drive wont budge an inch. When placing the cart in reverse, I get the audible reverse tone, but nothing else. When I turn on the key, I have no lights (and no dash light indicator) and the starter does not even click. I am thinking it has to be something in the ignition switch. This is the first problem I have had with it in four years.

I almost forgot. I already tried installing a new battery.
Any ideas?

sounds like the keyswitch my be bad...you can take the cupholder cover off with the single allen head screw in the center out and check to make sure it didn't come unplugged or corrode off...

Forum members come through again! The harness that plugs into the ignition switch was partially melted (probably those pesky 100w head light bulbs). I bypassed the damaged harness and viola! Im back in business. Thanks again

Good that you got it going again!! Just out of curiosity, do you have those lights fused ?? Melted insulation is not a good thing and you may have had a fault somewhere in the wiring to cause that melted insulation. Might be worth it to check it out. - RAY

Thanks Ray
but the factory light kit is fused. However, my led eyebrow lights are not, but surely they dont draw enough to melt a harness. Im just glad I am rolling again.
