Its 5 inches wide but my choke is in the factory hole.

Lurch or curti was your shifter stem/lever loose to where it will rattle when you installed your shifter? Mine is loose and not sure I can tighten the large bolt that holds it to pivot point.

Are you talking about the Jakes shifter?
If so, mine has not been loose, as to rattle *Mine is on a G8 Yamaha, one that Jakes does not list it for. Did a little tweaking on mine, to get it to work great |

Mine does not rattle at all. When you shift it does rub the side a little.

I think I can tighten it up once I get to my tools out in other garage, the shifter arm has a little play so when it comes thru the top lid it rattles. I just need to tighten the nut and spacer a little at bottom of lever. Thanks!
