Default spark plug help

My grandparents have a yamaha golf cart (4stroke) and its from the 80's i think. The other day, it wouldn't start and grandpa was trying to fix it...the spark plug wire goes into some kind of box/sensor/unit and the wire had broken loose. He taped it back together for now, but we both know that won't last long. It's a Mitsubishi part and the part number is F61411. I've searched the part number and came up with nothing, so hopefully one of you guys can help me out! Thanks to all in advance!!

That's basically it, but mines shaped different. I can't find anything on the engine to tell me what kind, etc., but the part on there now isn't as round as the one in the picture. Do you think it will matter?

It would help to know for sure what model and year golf cart you have, and usually pictures help.

Yea, i know but it won't let me post pics from my phone and we don't know exactly what year, etc the cart is. That's the part though, but mines not as round, its more blocky...

It could be somebody put one on that was off from something else. Does the cart happen to look anything like the my avatar?

heeat-
try this link to narrow down your model/serial number. Then call the number on the link Honor posted. Great folks there and will help you and your Grandfather out.

Look up the number to find the year. You can also find the yamaha golf cart timeline page it shows photos of all the carts they have made. Most G2/9 have the number on the plate under the seat hinge in center of cart under seat. It is also on the engine block I think above clutch near fins, but engines can be swapped. If original it should be the same number.

The G2/9 use an ignitor on the gas tank to fire the coil mounted on the engine shrouding, there is a pickup on the flywheel inside.
