Just finished laying the last fiber mat. Letting it dry and start again on the sanding.

Great Work. Picking up what I think is a G2 on Friday and hope to do a similar strip and repair/rebuild job like this. Inspirational stuff defiantly! Nice one!

I like this build. My G2 was broken in the same way but I didn't catch it till it broke and I colapsed on my rear tire. I ended up making a new cross member.

Thanks for the comments, It has been a very painfull process. I have not done any fiberglass work in a long time (last time was ~ 1989 just before I joined the Service). I have forgotten how hard is was to work with it.

Yeah, your build is turning out great! Very clean. I like the fact that you took everything down to the bare frame. That body was in pretty bad shape, looks like you got it figured out! Can't wait to see it finished. What color are you going with for the body? Also what shocks are you running up front?

Thanks for the comments. It has been a painfull process getting this thing going. disassemly was not an issue however, I can't say the same for the rest. Paint tripping and sanding all paint from the frame was hard. I had to do some frame repairs but now it is all fixed, sealed, and painted.... about the color; I have been going back abd forward on that, I like black (all of my motorcycles have been black, and two of my cars also). But, I do like blue (midnight blue) and Red. I asked the wife about color and she said the same thing wish it is frustrating

. I am leaning more towards midnight blue... here is a picture of my last restored car with that color.

I think it will be this color. the more I look at it, the more I like it.

as far as the shocks, I got those from ebay and I think they will be too stiff, we'll see.
