Tach on my G16??

Is the inductive pick up made into the tach or is it something seperate? Thanks

The inductive pick-up attaches to the plug wire to make the tach operate. Since the cart doesn't have a coil, a regular tach will not work. The Tiny Tach uses a pick-up wire, but they are small and hard to read with these old eyes. The 8068 is only 3 3/8". Never seen another tach that's useable on a single cylinder, but I could be wrong. The Equus 6088 will work, also.

Can't say for sure but according to the Equus website all of their tachs should work. They are set up for either inductive or direct hookup and operate on 1-12 cyl.

Thanks guys ill keep looking, I want a small one to put on my steering column, I just mounted the small olskool steering wheel.

Did a little more research and the Equus 6000 series will not work. No setup for induction pickup. The smallest they have that will work is the 8000 series, 3 3/8".

I tried it on the steering column, and it was a PIA to see when driving

just an FYI, the 6086 *does* come with the induction clamp pickup and can be set for single-cyl use (my buddy has one on his EZGO Workhorse, great little 2.5" tach)
